Quattron:
Four new series and one new colour!

Look reality in the eye ...

... the colour reproduction on conventional LCD TVs will in future also not come close to reality. Not surprising really, since the entire range of colours has to be reproduced using the three primary colours red, green and blue (RGB). Yellow is reproduced on an LCD display using a combination of a red and a green pixel. The result: Yellow is often reproduced with a red/green colour cast. Vivid fields of sunflowers, a shining trophy, skin tones or the sea in the Caribbean lose a lot of their fascination. Up to now, that is!
A simple, trendsetting design, stylishly at home in any environment. The use of high-quality materials that mirror the owner’s requirements. Should really be self-evident. For Sharp as a technology leader that alone is not enough! With the new Quattron LE Series we have a clear policy: Only what works can fascinate! With the extremely slim construction we have made sure that there’s still enough space for a subwoofer, to also set a real example in terms of sound reproduction.

On its way to becoming the leading energy saver

The earlier models of the Quattron LE Series have already received several awards for energy saving. The new LE Series belong to the same efficiency class, and go one step further thanks to the Quattron technology and increased light transparency of the UV²A technology. ECO Control, OPC and Auto-Off functions are naturally also implemented in the standard configuration.

An environmentally conscious company

Sharp was one of the first companies worldwide to receive the EU Ecolabel for its televisions. Power consumption is only one of the important aspects considered here. From production via delivery through to ultimate disposal, we’re always developing even better solutions for the company and the environment. Thanks to major endeavours in all areas of energy management, the Sharp LCD panel production facility in Sakai, for example, managed to significantly reduce its CO2 emissions, making it not only the most modern, but also the most eco-friendly LCD plant worldwide.
Mains switch
If you want to reduce the power consumption to almost zero (0.01 Watt), you can also switch the TVs off completely using the easily accessible mains switch.

OPC
The Optical Picture Control (OPC) feature adapts the screen brightness to the surroundings and also helps to save power.

1080p / Full HD
1080p (progressive) is the full HDTV resolution (progressive scanning).

More colour, more features, less energy

The picture quality is the most important criterion when buying a new TV. Thanks to the Quattron pixel technology, Sharp has managed to yet again increase the picture quality of its new LCD TVs.

The enhanced colour space and the refined reproduction of colour shades are particularly noticeable in the reproduction of gold and yellow, green and blue, and with brown tones. The colours appear even brighter and more natural.

The ecological characteristics of the AQUOS LCD TVs are impressive, and have broken the record for energy saving set last year by the award-winning AQUOS LE705/700 and LE600 Series.

Quattron
The Quattron technology uses an additional sub-pixel colour (yellow) to display the TV picture, providing an even more brilliant picture.

ECO Control button
The ECO Control button reduces the already low power consumption even more.

Environmental award
Since 1 November 2009, new and extremely demanding requirements apply for the EU Ecolabel for TVs. 28 Sharp TVs, including the LE600 and LE700 Series, have already received the Ecolabel.

CI plus
The CI plus slot on your AQUOS LCD TV allows you to receive Pay TV programmes without an external decoder, using a suitable card from the Pay TV provider.
